Continuous Improvement

The Folwell web theme's success depends on widespread use of the theme systemwide. Your thoughtful feedback is necessary for the theme to grow.

New and Enhanced Components

  1. Feedback will be reviewed to determine if requests and suggestions meet the needs of the broader University community.*
  2. Requests identified as meeting the component criteria will be researched, and development requirements will be established.
  3. Timeline for design and development in University Relations will be determined. New components and enhancement requests will be added to the roadmap as either planned or in progress.
  4. New features will be tested in the Usability Lab and reviewed by the Disability Resource Center (DRC) to ensure they work as intended and meet best practice guidelines for both usability and accessibility.
  5. Once design and coding is finalized, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) will incorporate the code into Drupal 8 and another accessibility test will be performed.
  6. Code will also be added to the Pattern Library for use on sites not using Drupal 8.
  7. Updated guidelines and examples will be posted to the Folwell website.

*Note: UR and OIT are discussing the process for handling continuous improvement and how to involve the U web developer and communications community. Sign up for the Folwell Theme User Group to receive updates.
